Overview
This feature allows you to filter your search results within a specified distance of a desired location. This radius is in addition to any other criteria selected in your custom property search.
Usage
To begin a radius search, simply open the Radius Search panel by clicking on the Radius Search header. Once open you can select a center-point by clicking on the map, or by entering a latitude and longitude directly in the boxes if you already know the coordinates of interest. The radius can be selected by either sliding the slider, or by typing an exact radius in the radius box. The slider selects whole number distances, but fractional distances can be entered directly (e.g. “1.25”)
As you change the radius, or click the map to re-center the radius, you will see the radius area redrawn on the map. This allows you to accurately choose the area you wish to include in the search. If you no longer want to filter by radius, click the red X next to the coordinates to clear the radius from your search criteria.
You can hold down your Control key and drag the mouse on the map to zoom in faster, and on a particular area to help you isolate your center point. You may also use the Address Search directly under the map to find a particular location. The more detail you can provide, the better the search can match your address, so including a city/town name is a good idea (e.g. “123 Main St, Smithville”). When you search for an address, the map will display a marker on the map. If it has found your desired center-point, hover over the marker, and select the “Use this Point as Center” link to make the found point the center of your radius search. If it’s not exact, then just click the correct spot on the map now that you are in the vicinity.
